Bounty
This quilt was completely in August 2011. It is based on a watercolor painting by Alfonse Mucha. I turned this painting into a "stained glass" style pattern. The face, back, arms and hands were hand painted on fabric using Tsukineko Inks™. These pieces were then heavily thread painted being very careful not to distort her beautiful face, hands and muscles. I used my hand dyed fabrics to complete the remainder of this design. It is all turned edge applique. It was machine quilted using my A-1 longarm machine with original designs. It was backed with black fabric.
